Games Workshop Announces New Space Hulk PC Game

     Games Workshop announced on Monday that there will be a new Space Hulk video game. Unlike previous Space Hulk games, the new game will be a direct adaptation of the board game. The game is being developed by Full Control and is set for a release some time in 2013.

     Space Hulk was originally released in 1989 and is about a squad of Blood Angel Space Marines clad in Terminator Armor investigating an abandoned space ship and fighting the Tyranid Genestealers that made it their home. The second edition of the game was released in 1996 and the third and current edition was released in 2009.

     A previous video game adaptation was released by Electronic Arts in 1993 on PC, but was a hybrid of first person shooter and real time strategy, a sequel, Space Hulk: Vengeance of the Blood Angels was released by Electronic Arts in 1995 on Panasonic's 3DO Interactive Multiplayer and in 1996 on PC, Sony Playstation and Sega Saturn.
